One of the biggest news that the women’s basketball world must have received in the past few months is the launch of Unrivaled. Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier joined hands to introduce the off-season league to their WNBA peers. Another news that broke the internet during the WNBA’s Olympic break was Angel Reese joining the up-and-coming 3×3 league. Now, she gives words to her choice of getting busy outside of the WNBA as well.
Talking to Julia Poe of Chicago Tribune, the seventh overall pick said, “Being able to be in Miami from January to March, not having to go overseas. I never planned on going overseas. So, that already sparked me. Being able to know two great players that are starting something, I think it’s amazing. Who wouldn’t wanna play with two great players like that? I knew they were gonna bring on a couple more dogs. Nobody wants to go overseas. A lot of us never wanna have to g overseas but some people do have to go overseas, unfortunately. So, being able to make what six figures here within three months.”
