Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) is pleased to announce today the opening of nominations for the 2026 ITA Collegiate Tennis Women’s Hall of Fame Class.
Housed at the College of William and Mary in the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center, the ITA Collegiate Tennis Women’s Hall of Fame aspires to preserve and celebrate the history and further the development of women’s intercollegiate tennis through the collection of historic memorabilia and with biennial inductions of notable, players, coaches, and contributors.
As the most prestigious honor a former college tennis player, coach, or contributor can receive, the ITA Collegiate Tennis Women’s Hall of Fame has inducted 17 classes since 1995 and includes the likes of Billie Jean King (LA State College), Althea Gibson (FAMU), Beatriz “Gigi” Fernandez (Clemson), and Ann Lebedeff (Pomona-Pitzer) to name a few.
In 2024, Louise Allen (Trinity – Player), Shelley Keeler Whelan (Pomona-Pitzer – Player), Jan Brogan (California – Coach), and John Peterson (Tyler – Coach) were all inducted into the Hall of Fame.
