The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed the nominees for the 35th edition of the FAI International Awards, set to take place on Friday, June 6th at the Aviva Stadium ahead of Ireland’s international friendly against Senegal.
This year’s awards will honour standout performances from June 2024 to May 2025, recognising the achievements of players across all age levels in Irish football.
The 2025 list reflects the growing strength and talent in the women’s game, from seasoned internationals to rising stars making their mark on the global stage. One of the most anticipated honours is the Senior Women’s International Player of the Year, where nominees Kyra Carusa, Anna Patten, and Julie-Ann Russell are all recognised for their outstanding contributions in green.
The International Goal of the Year category also features a standout goal from the women’s team – Julie-Ann Russell’s stunning strike against France.
