Lando Norris continued his strong performance by topping the timesheets in both Friday practice sessions at the British Grand Prix, with Oscar Piastri following closely behind as his McLaren teammate.
The day’s track action at Silverstone was complicated by changing weather conditions, with rain predicted to disrupt the final minutes of FP2. This led teams to adjust their usual Friday evening programs, resulting in different strategies being employed during the session.
Despite the rain arriving late in the session, Norris had already set the pace with a time of 1m26.549s on soft-compound tires. Piastri was just 0.331s behind, showing promising performance for McLaren on the high-speed circuit.
