EVANSTON, Ill. – Notre Dame women’s tennis started off the 2025 spring season at the Northwestern Quad Invite this past weekend, facing off against Colorado, Northern Illinois, and the hosting Northwestern. The Irish came out on top in 18 individual events over the course of the three-day tournament.
In singles matches, Bojana Pozder and Akari Matsuno both went undefeated with 3-0 records. Matsuno began her season by blanking Maia Loureiro of Northwestern 6-0, 6-0 on the first day of competition, only dropping one set throughout the weekend. Pozder sealed her perfect invite with a straight-set victory over Colorado’s Mila Stanojevic, winning 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles play, Nibi Ghosh and Rylie Hanford emerged unbeaten, defeating Colorado’s Rebec/Alexin duo 6-4 on Sunday to finish with a 3-0 record for the weekend.

The Irish will face Ball State in their home opener on Friday, January 17th at 3:00 PM, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, January 18th against Illinois at 11:00 AM and DePaul at 3:00 PM. All matches will be held at the Eck Tennis Pavilion with free admission.
