Katharina Nowak has been named President of the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Nowak previously served as Vice President of Business Operations for the race. At 28, she becomes the youngest president of a Formula 1 event, and one of only two women in the role across the world. She will replace Tyler Epp, who led the event since 2022 and has left the position to accept a new role elsewhere.

“I am excited to announce Katharina as our President,” said Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix.

“She is one of the most talented young executives I’ve been around and I know she will continue to build on what has been established here – that we are committed to innovating fan experience and delivering a world-class event for drivers, teams and fans. I also want to thank Tyler for his leadership. The Grand Prix simply wouldn’t be what it has grown into today without him.”

Nowak joined the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium enterprise in 2019 and has held numerous roles for the organization across events, corporate partnerships and business operations. In 2023, she was promoted to oversee business operations for the Miami GP and in 2024, she was named vice president. In this role, she has led the collaboration across all business and operational departments involved in building and executing the Grand Prix, spearheaded the organization’s relationship with Formula 1, served as a key negotiator in business and partnership opportunities and directed all strategic planning for the race.

A native of Vienna, Austria, Nowak graduated with an advertising/public relations degree from Loyola University Chicago.

“I am both humbled and excited to take on this new role as President,” said Nowak. “In this new chapter, our goals remain unchanged – we will continue to deliver an exceptional event for our stakeholders, with elite on-track action and fan-first experience at the center of all we do. We have an incredible team committed to excellence, and I am eager to continue the work that has already begun.”
