Witness towering center Brittney Griner showcase her speed and agility, followed by a thrilling showdown between this year’s top three-point shooters. The night will also feature the inaugural WNBA All-Star 3×3 Exhibition, pitting the Olympic-bound 3×3 National Team against USA Basketball’s 3×3 U23 National Team.
Excitingly, Aflac has sweetened the deal by offering a $55,000 bonus to each winner of the Skills Competition and 3-Point Contest, making the stakes even higher.
Skills Challenge Showcases the Best of the League
The Skills Challenge, a unique obstacle course testing players’ dribbling, passing, speed, and shooting skills, promises an intense competition. Ten-time WNBA All-Star Brittney Griner leads the roster, joined by notable players like Sophie Cunningham, Allisha Gray, Erica Wheeler, and Marina Mabrey.
Mabrey, who recently joined the Connecticut Sun after a trade from Chicago, will be pulling double duty by competing in both the Skills Challenge and the 3-Point Contest.
Top Shooters Compete in the STARRY 3-Point Contest
Despite a couple of notable absences, the STARRY 3-Point Contest will feature the WNBA’s top sharpshooters showcasing their skills. Standout players like Jonquel Jones, Stefanie Dolson, Kayla McBride, Allisha Gray, and Marina Mabrey will be vying for the title as the best three-point shooter.
Debut of the 3×3 Exhibition
The night will also feature the debut of the 3×3 Exhibition, introducing Team USA’s Rhyne Howard, Cierra Burdick, Hailey Van Lith, and Dearica Hamby. These players will face off against the U-23 team, consisting of talented collegiate players gearing up for the 2024 FIBA 3×3 Nations League tournament in Mexico City.
