My Surly was making a clicking sort of noise with every pedal stroke which forced me to find the source of the noise. Suspecting the bottom bracket I discovered there was a little bit of side-to-side play, so it was time for a new bottom bracket. I knew I wanted to try to save a little extra weight with a new bracket, so this led me to Omni Racer. I decided to go with the cromo version vs the titanium as it still saved me about 82 grams over the old bracket. On top of saving some grams this part is also made in the USA which I always like.
