Jordin Canada has committed to play in Unrivaled this offseason, making her the latest WNBA standout to join the new 3-on-3 professional women’s basketball league.
With an average of 10.6 points, 5.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in the past season, Canada is known as one of the top guard defenders in the league.
The 29-year-old was honored with All-Defensive First Team titles in 2019 and 2023, leading the league in steals with an average of 2.3 steals per game in 2023. She also set a franchise record for the Los Angeles Sparks with a total of 86 steals in a single season. Canada now joins other Dream players like Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard in committing to Unrivaled.
How Unrivaled will work
Unrivaled, founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, has announced 32 out of the 36 best players in the league who will be participating. These players will be divided into six teams and will compete three nights a week in full-court 3-on-3 basketball.
The league focuses on player development and prioritizes the athletes’ needs, allowing them to stay in the U.S. during the WNBA offseason rather than seeking opportunities overseas.
