T1 is the most dominant League of Legends team in the history of the game. And, while Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is a massive part of that legacy, Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun has got three world championship titles to his name alongside him.
Not only that, but T1 likely would have never made it to Worlds 2025 without Oner massively stepping it up at the end of the season to help them qualify. He arguably should have earned Worlds MVP flowers just for ensuring the Korean behemoth’s qualification to the event.
And, fortunately for fans who want to see him raise even more trophies with T1, Oner has re-signed with the organization through 2028.
While he could still opt to leave the team or be benched before the contract ends due to poor performance, we’ll likely see Oner representing T1 on the rift for years to come.
T1 LoL Secures Oner Until 2028
Losing Choi “Zeus” Woo-je in 2024 and Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong departing after their win in 2025 were both huge blows for the T1 fandom. Even if the org has been able to find apt replacements for both players in Doran and Peyz, a considerable part of what makes modern T1’s legacy so great is the players who built it.
That ZOFGK 2023-2024 roster was a magical time for fans, one that saw T1’s most extraordinary highs marked by the most viewed events in the history of esports. And unlike other rosters that make changes every year, the team that stuck together through thick and thin made the storyline that much better.
T1 is aiming to create the next ZOFGK dynasty, a team that can stay together and build a new 5-man squad that makes a lasting mark on LoL esports. And they’ve confirmed that Oner’s going to be a part of that.
Aside from Oner, the other big player T1 likely wants to retain for as long as they can is Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, someone who’s been a key part of their success as one of the most innovative and mechanically gifted support players in League of Legends history.
However, as of now, Keria’s set to depart or re-negotiate his contract with the team at the end of 2026. It’s yet unclear if T1’s aiming to secure Keria for the next few years to keep him alongside the mid/jungle core that’s earned so much success for them.
Faker, meanwhile, is staying with T1 until 2030. He was given one of the longest contract extensions in esports history earlier this year, rivaled only by Tekken pro Jeon “JEonDDing” Sang Hyun, who was re-signed by Vitality through 2030.
