The Orioles have activated Jordan Westburg and Ramon Urias from the injured list, while Daniel Johnson and Livan Soto have been optioned to Triple-A to make room for their return. The Orioles have struggled offensively recently, and Westburg’s return is a welcome addition. Before his injury, Westburg was a key player for Baltimore, posting impressive numbers at the plate. His presence in the lineup alongside Gunnar Henderson and Anthony Santander has helped fill the void left by Adley Rutschman’s below-average performance this season.
Urias has also been a valuable part-time contributor for the Orioles this year, providing solid offensive production. His return should further strengthen the team’s lineup and reduce the pressure on struggling rookie Jackson Holliday.
Johnson and Soto are being sent back to Triple-A after their brief stints with the Orioles. Johnson had a short tenure with the team, while Soto has shown potential in limited playing time. Both players will look to continue their development in the minors.
