Bueckers is familiar with playing in front of the Connecticut crowd. She spent five years at UConn and led the university to an NCAA title in her senior year.
It’s her second time facing the Sun since getting selected with the No. 1 pick by Dallas. In her first game against Connecticut, Bueckers had 21 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals to lead the Wings to a 109-87 victory.
Tonight, her stats looked very similar to how she first played against the Sun.

Bueckers’ college head coach, Geno Auriemma, was present at the game. It was his second time seeing her former star player go against the WNBA team.

The Sun were coming off an 83-75 loss against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday. No player from the starting lineup scored at least 15 points. Aneesah Morrow had a team-high of 16 points off the bench, and added nine rebounds and three steals.
