The WNBA preseason continued Saturday with three games on the schedule. One more exhibition is set for Sunday and another on Monday to wrap up the preseason slate for 2025.
Then, it’s officially go-time. The 2025 WNBA regular season is about to tip off, and fans can expect plenty of drama and excitement from the league’s brightest stars. Saturday night was no exception, especially with the top pick from the 2025 WNBA Draft in action on her home floor.

ESPNW shared a jaw-dropping clip on social media featuring a pass from former UConn star and rookie Paige Bueckers to veteran guard Arike Ogunbowale. The feed sparked an explosion of fan reactions online.

The highlight came in the first half of a blowout win, with Dallas leading 66-34 at halftime. Bueckers played 15 minutes, scoring nine points and adding four rebounds and six assists.

Ogunbowale led the Wings at the break with 14 points on 5-for-7 shooting. She also chipped in three rebounds and five assists.
With Bueckers now alongside Ogunbowale, Dallas has a dynamic backcourt duo. Ogunbowale, selected fifth overall in the 2019 WNBA Draft out of Notre Dame, has averaged 20.6 points per game across six WNBA seasons.
Last season, she started all 38 games, averaging 38.6 minutes, 22.2 points, and 5.1 assists per contest.
The Dallas Wings open their regular season at home on May 16 against the Minnesota Lynx, last year’s WNBA Finals runner-up.
