Paige Bueckers Sets Rookie 350/100 Record

Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers has never needed long to make her presence felt. But 20 games? That’s all it took for her to carve out a slice of WNBA history.

On Friday night at Chase Center, the Wings guard became the first player ever to record 350 points and 100 assists within the first 20 games of a WNBA career. She hit the milestone during an 86–76 loss to the Golden State Valkyries, finishing with 17 points and six assists, featuring her usual combination of calm control and late-game firepower.

“As a team, we’re staying together through all the runs of a season,” Bueckers said after the game. “Our progression is coming, and we feel like we can compete in every game. We’ve just got to clean up the little things.”

Through 20 games, Bueckers is averaging 18.2 points and 5.5 assists, leading all rookies in both. She had already tied Caitlin Clark’s mark of 300 points and 100 assists in 19 games — but Friday’s outing took her into uncharted territory. No one else has stacked up 350 points and 100 dimes this quickly.

And she’s doing it efficiently. Earlier this season, she became the only player in the league — rookie or veteran — to post a game with at least 25 points, five assists, two steals, two blocks, and zero turnovers. Nobody else has checked all those boxes in 2025.

The accolades are stacking up. Bueckers earned a spot in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game and broke the league’s rookie record for most fan votes. She leads all first-year players not just in points and assists, but also in field goals made and steals. It’s not close.

Despite Dallas’ losing season, Bueckers has emerged as the engine and often the closer. Nine of her 17 points came in the fourth quarter on Friday. She added two steals, committed zero turnovers, and tied the game late before Golden State sealed it at the free-throw line.

There are 19 games left in the regular season, and Bueckers is already setting a pace that might take years to match.
