Alongside Alston, there were other standout guards and big players who showcased their skills.
The Cream of the Crop Top 30 All-Star Game, featuring the top participants at the camp, is always a highlight of the Pangos All-South Frosh/Soph Camp. This year was no different, with players chosen from over 230 campers representing 17 different states at the Duncanville Fieldhouse. Alston, the camp’s Most Outstanding Player, demonstrated his exceptional point guard abilities throughout the game.
Alston, a talented 6-foot-1 sophomore point guard from Houston, controlled the game with his advanced skills and basketball IQ. He led his team to an early lead with his scoring and playmaking abilities. Despite his impressive statistics, it was Alston’s command of the game that truly stood out among his peers.
After a strong performance, Alston helped his team secure a victory in the Cream of the Crop Top 30 Game. With 13 points and eight assists in just 16 minutes of play, Alston’s impact on the game was undeniable. Looking ahead, Alston is poised for a successful sophomore season with his high school team, following a standout summer on both the Pro16 Circuit and the Pangos Frosh-Soph circuit.
Known as “Lil Skip”, a nod to his father’s nickname “Skip To My Lou”, Alston’s determination and hard work have been key to his success on the court. His impressive showing at the camp is a testament to his dedication and passion for the game.
