BIG EAST Media Day Features Remarks from Commissioner Val Ackerman and Sessions with Each Team; Men’s Media Day Begins at 9:30 a.m. ET, Women’s Media Day Starts at 12:30 p.m. ET
Peacock Will Exclusively Stream 25 Regular-Season and Five BIG EAST Tournament Men’s Games this Season
STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 22, 2024 – Peacock will be streaming the BIG EAST media day live tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 23, starting at 9:30 a.m. ET from Madison Square Garden.
The men’s and women’s media day will include opening remarks from Commissioner Val Ackerman and individual sessions from each team, with coaches like Dan Hurley, Geno Auriemma, and Rick Pitino. Hosts and reporters on-site at MSG will be John Fanta, Vin Parise, Tarik Turner, Kim Adams, Meghan Caffrey, and Isis Young.
NBC Sports will be airing BIG EAST men’s basketball games as part of a new six-year media rights agreement. The coverage begins on Friday, Nov. 8, at 9 p.m. ET with the Marquette Golden Eagles vs. the George Mason Patriots.
Peacock’s coverage of BIG EAST men’s basketball this season includes 25 regular-season games and five early round and quarterfinal tournament games.
Starting from the 2025-26 season, Peacock and NBC Sports will broadcast over 60 men’s and women’s regular-season and BIG EAST Tournament games.
The new BIG EAST agreement, spanning from 2025-26 through 2030-31, will provide coverage on FOX Sports, NBC Sports, and TNT Sports. It includes a variety of national broadcast, cable, and streaming coverage of BIG EAST basketball games and Olympic sport championship contests.
Peacock’s programming also includes Big Ten Football and Basketball, Sunday Night Football, Notre Dame Football, Olympic and Paralympic Games, Premier League, NASCAR, golf, NBA, WNBA, and more. There is also daily sports programming on the NBC Sports channel.
