Pereira vs. Rountree updates, results of every fight

UFC 307 took place Saturday, and MMA Junkie provided live round-by-round coverage and official results. UFC 307 (pay-per-view, ESPNews, ESPN+) took place Saturday at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

In the headliner, light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira (12-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC) put his title on the line against challenger Khalil Rountree (14-6 MMA, 9-6 UFC). In the co-feature, women’s bantamweight champ Raquel Pennington (16-10 MMA, 13-6 UFC) lost her title to ex-champ Julianna Peña (13-5 MMA, 8-3 UFC). In addition, two-time Olympic gold medalist and former PFL champ Kayla Harrison (18-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) took on Ketlen Vieira (14-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) as a huge favorite.

Alex Pereira vs. Khalil Rountree

Round 1 – Pereira comes out agressive and closes the distance. Rountree lands a staright left. Leg kick by Pereira. Big right lands for Pereira. Leg kick by Pereira. These two are throwing with tons of power. Head kick nearly lands for Pereira, twice. Leg kick by Pereira. Nice combo lands for Rountree. Two minutes left. Right hand lands for Rountree. Rountree closes the distance and lands a left. Leg kick by Pereira. Jabs by Pereira. The bell rings.

Round 2 – A couple of leg kicks land early for Pereira.Counter right hook by Rountree. Right hand counter by Pereira. Leg kick by Pereira. Rountree is bleeding from the bridge of his nose. Pereira is walking down Rountree constantly. Jabs by Pereira. Another calf kick for Pereira. Jab by Pereira. Big righthand lands for Rountree as Pereira went for the high kick! A left gets through for Rountree. Oh! High kick lands for Rountree! The bell rings.

Round 3 – Again, Pereira chasing Rountree here. Nice shot by Rountree! Oh! And body kick by Rountree! Rountree is growing in this fight. Head kick then jab by Pereira. Righthand and then a jab by Pereira. A left hook lands for Rountree! What fight. Leg kick by Pereira and again. We’re halfway through the round. This is a very technical fight. Another leg kick by Pereira. Leg kick by Rountree. Jab by Pereira. Double jab by Pereira. It looks like Rountree is fading. Pereira upping the pressure. Jab by Pereira. A couple of hard knees to the head connect for Pereira to close outthe round.

Round 4 – Leg kick by Rountree. Jab by Pereira. It seems Rountree got a second wind. Pereira beating up that leg non stop. Oh! Big jab by Pereira. Pereira is picking apart Rountree right now. Rountree’s face is a mess. More jabs by Pereira. Oh! Combo by Pereira! Rountree is hurt! Pereira all over him! Nasty shots by Pereira! Rountree is falling apart. Huge uppercut by Pereira! How is Rountree standing? A left and a jab connects for Pereira. Nasty combo by Pereira! Rountree collaspses. It’s over.

Raquel Pennington vs. Julianna Peña

Round 1 – A couple of jabs lands by Peña. And now Peña wth a left hook. A big left lands for Pennington. Stiff jab by Pennington. And Peña naswers back with a solid right. Very even fight so far on the feet. Pennington now pressuring Peña. Two minutes left. A series of jabs connect for Peña. Leg kick lands for Pennington. Another leg kick by Pennington. Pennington seems to be landing the cleaner shots now. Oh! Big right hand by Peña. The bell rings.

Round 2 – Peña with a solid right hand. Jab by Pennington, who is doing most of the pressing. Good shot selection by Pennington. They clinch. And Peña gets a throw and takes down Pennington. Peña on side control. Short shots land for Peña. Good control here. Pennington works her way back to her feet, but Peña jumps on her back. Pennington leans against the cage. Short shots by Pennington. Peña maintains position untill the bell.

Round 3 – Pennington pressing the action here. Oh! Big right hand by Peña. Pennington is now bleeding from her nose. Jabs by Peña. Pennington with a left hook. One, two by Peña. Pennington with a double jab. Peña clinches with Pennington and takes her down. Two minutes left. Peña working from side control. Peña takes the back of Pennington now. Short shots by Peña. Peña going for the rear-naked choke! And Pennington escapes. The bell rings.

Round 4 – Pennington pressing the action here, likely needs this round. Leg kick by Pennington. Good one, two by Peña. They trade jabs. The fight has slowed a ton here. One, two by Peña. Pennington snaps back Peña’s head with a right hand. Oh! Pennington drops Peña with a massive right. Pennington follows her to the ground. Peña reverses on the ground and presses Pennington against the cage. Pennington gets free. One minute left. One, two by Peña. Tons of pressure here from Pennington. Jabs by Pennington. The bell rings.

Pennington preses Peña briefly against the cage and then lets her go. Big right hand lands again for Peña. Pennington wobbles Peña! Pennington pressing. Good combo by Peña. Pennington with a right hand. Righthand and then a jab by Peña. They brawl it out in the final seconds. Close round.

Round 1 – Leg kick by Bautista. He comes out with relentless pressure on Aldo. Another leg kick by Bautista. Bautista shoots and presses Aldo against the cage. Shoulder strikes by Bautista. The crowd boos. Elbow by Bautista. And Aldo breaks away. Big leg kick by Aldo. Bautista tries to press Aldo against the cage and Aldo pushes him away. Bautista successful in the second attempt to pin Aldo against the cage. The crowd boos. Aldo breaks free. Jab by Aldo Right hand connects for Bautista. Aldo with a slick combo. Oh! Big shot by Aldo. The bell rings.

Round 2 – Good jabs by Aldo. Aldo now marching foward. Another jab. Bautista is bleeding from his right eye. Oh! Big knee to the head by Aldo. Bautista shoots and Aldo stuffs the takedown. Aldo is now styling on Bautista. One, two lands on Aldo. Bautista shoots and presses Aldo against the cage. Not much going on in terms of offense for Bautista. Shoulder strikes by Bautista. Two minutes left. Bautista still controling Aldo. Aldo breaks free. Big right hand lands for Aldo. They trade jabs. Bautista presses Aldo against the cage. Aldo breaks free and lands a solid combo! Bautista back to pressing Aldo against the cage. The bell rings.

Round 3 – Nice jabs by Aldo. Bautista with his own jab. Nasty jabs by Aldo. Left hook connects for Aldo. Bautista shoots and presses Aldo against the cage. The crowd boos. Three minutes left. Bautista controlling Aldo, but no damage being done. After a minute and a half, refree Mike Beltran restarts them, but Bautista immediately shoots and brings Aldo against the cage. Aldo breaks free with 40 seconds left and begins to pour it on Bautista. Bautista takes Aldo back to the cage. He breaks free and lands a few shots before the bell rings.

Round 1 – A couple of leg kicks connect for Holland. Good left by Holland. Wild exchanges here between the two. Holland seems to be getting the better of the strkiking. Dolidze pressuring more. Dolidze catches a kick and takes down Holland. We’re halfway through the round. Dolidze working from guard, landing some shots here and there. The crowd boos. More short shots by Dolidze. One minute left. They scramble! Holland with a complaint, but the fight continues. Dolidze mounts him and unloads a ton of ground-and-pound! More shots! The bell rings.

Holland says he injured his rib in between rounds and his corner calls the fight. Dolidze wins.

Kayla Harrison vs. Ketlen Vieira

Round 1 – Leg kick by Vieira and Harrison answers with a right hand. Leg kick by Vieira. Harrison in the center of the cage, Vieira hovering on the outside. Harrison shoots, and presses Vieira against the cage. Knees to the body by Harrison. They trade short body shots. Two minutes left. They break free. Leg kick by Vieira. Body kick by Harrison. Oh! Beatuful takedown by Harrison! One minute left. Harrison gets mount! Nasty elbows and ground-and-pound from Harrison! The bell rings.

Round 2 – Harrison opens things up with a leg kick. Leg kick from Harrison buckles Vieira. Left hand lands for Harrison. Oh! Big left now lands for Harrison. Vieira has yet to lands anything meaningful. Three minutes left. Leg kick by Vieira, and Harrison answers with one of her own. Harrison clinches and presses Vieira against the cage. They trade elbows in the clinch. Oh! Big elbow by Vieira! Solid chin on Harrison. Harrison is bleeding from her forehead. Referee breaks them apart. Leg kick by Vieira. The bell rings.

Round 3 – Leg kick by Harrison drops Vieira. Harrison tries to enagge in the grappling with that and Vieira defends well. Another isnide leg kick by Harrison. Vieira with a leg kick. Harrison closes the distance, shoots for a tekedown and gets it. Harrison working from Vieira’s guard. We’re halfway through the round. Solid shots from Harrison.  Good shots by Harrison. Big elbows from top by Harrison. Harrison moves to half guard. And Harrison gets mount with one minute left! Good shots from top by Harrison. She ends the round on top.

We’re halfway through the round. Thompson defending the takedown. Thompson breaks free and lands an elbow. Nice right hand by Thompson, as Buckley closes the distance. Buckely pressing Thompson against the cage. Thompson breaks free. Final minute. Leg kick by Thompson. One, two by Thompson. Buckley presses Thompson against the cage. The bell rings.
