It has been three years since famed YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul signed a deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL). In that time, it was announced that the social media influencer would transition from boxing to MMA and compete under the promotion’s banner.
“I’ve proven myself in and out of the boxing ring and now I am going to do the same in MMA, and there is no limit to the positive impact I can make on the sport,” Paul said about his move into MMA in a statement after first signing with PFL. “I plan to enter the PFL SmartCage and once again show the world that that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.”
The deal done in January 2023 was intended to see him compete inside the PFL SmartCage while using his influence to attract new fighters to the organization. Paul was named “Head of Fighter Advocacy” and even helped bring former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou to the promotion.

Now, according to reports, the deal is done, and Paul has officially exited his existing association with PFL without having ever competed in MMA.
