PHOENIX — Phoenix Mercury had its first training camp of the year earlier today at Mountain America Performance Center.Thank you for reading this post, don’t forget to subscribe!
Kaleah Copper, guard and forward for the Mercury, spoke with reporters about Mercury opening its doors for free agents and how they can integrate themselves into Phoenix. Copper said it’s about showing what Mercury has and what it can offer.

“For those that have come from organizations who aren’t truly invested into their franchise, this is a great thing for them,” Copper explained.
When asked about comments from free agents currently there working with Mercury and the performance facility, Copper summarized it in two words.
“It’s paradise,” Copper said.
Copper also extended an invitation to those still without a team. “If you want to come here, want to come to paradise, want to come fit in with our culture, and you want to come win. Just come over,” she said.

The Mercury is less than four weeks from its home opener, where fans can see the team right at home on Saturday, May 17.
