The Princess of Wales of Wales once revealed how Prince George absolutely “loved” a gift he received from the Kemp family, it has emerged. Princess Catherine met up with TV and radio star Roman Kemp and his family at their home in Hertfordshire in February 2023 to collaborate on a short film for her “Shaping Us” mental health campaign.
In a new interview with The Sun on Sunday, Roman spoke about his father, I’m a Celebrity star Martin Kemp, and revealed his sweet friendship with the future Queen. He said that during their meeting, his parents gave Catherine some of the pressed apple juice they made from their garden.
The princess not only kindly accepted their gift but also took it home to her family, with one of her children being the biggest fan.
Writing back to the Kemps, Catherine thanked them and said that Prince George “loved” the juice and would like some more.
Roman told the newspaper: “My parents gave her some of the apple juice which they press in their garden to take home as a little gift.
“A few weeks later, she wrote a lovely letter which my mum has kept thanking them and saying that Prince George loved the juice and is there any chance of more!”
Elsewhere, the TV and radio star spoke how Catherine’s kind and relatable nature.
He revealed: “I remember when she arrived, she could see everyone else had taken their shoes off so she offered to take hers off.
“It was surreal. Somehow, you never expect to see a member of the Royal Family in their socks!”
It comes as the Princess of Wales’s Early Years Centre announced an exciting new project, which will involve investing £100,000 in research on how parents can tackle distractions caused by gadgets that disrupt family life.
Catherine’s Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood is inviting researchers to submit proposals on how to combat “technoference,” which can cause unwanted distractions in parents’ relationships with their children.
