Amy Muir put Glasgow City ahead against morning leaders Hearts but they had Kimberley Smit sent off in first-half stoppage time, with Lisa Robertson converting the resulting penalty. Sofia Määttä grabbed a winner for the hosts with just five minutes to go.

Rangers ran out 9-0 winners over Queen’s Park to go top on goal-difference. Kirsty Howat bagged a brace, substitute Katie Wilkinson continued her prolific form, while there was also one each from Chelsea Cornet, Brogan Hay, Rio Hardy, Kathy Hill, Laura Berry and an own goal.

Saoirse Noonan scored for Celtic in the third minute following a goalmouth scramble against Motherwell. Lucy Ashworth-Clifford curled in the second and Amy Gallacher got the third. Morgan Cross pulled one back after the break but Murphy Agnew and Maria McAneny both netted as Celtic made it three wins from three.

Hibernian also have nine points from three games after hitting Dundee United for six, five of those goals coming before the interval. Linzi Taylor and Eilidh Adams both struck twice, Mya Christie and substitute Kathleen McGovern adding one apiece.

Partick Thistle picked up their first points despite a late red card at Spartans. Two up in only eight minutes through Caley Gibb and Tiree Burchill, the Jags’ lead was halved by Hannah Jordan and Claire Adams was dismissed in the 90th minute.

Aberdeen’s interim head coach Stuart Glennie saw the Dons get off the mark in his first game in charge. Niamh Noble and Emily Kraft were the scorers in a 2-0 defeat of Montrose.
