Rapid City native Becky Hammon discusses her career

A standout at Rapid City Stevens, Hammon was named South Dakota Miss Basketball as a junior. Her senior season, she was recognized as the South Dakota Player of the Year, averaging a staggering 26 points, four rebounds and five steals per contest.

Overlooked by many college basketball programs, Hammon committed to Colorado State. The Rapid City native was a jewel for the Rams, becoming a three-time All-American and the Colorado Sportswoman of the Year.
