The Barclays Scottish Women’s Championship and League One will play their last games this coming Sunday before the two competitions split for their final fixtures.

Renfrew leapt into the Championship top six with a 1-0 win at the Falkirk stadium last weekend, with former Ayr United player Louise Cameron scoring in the opening minutes, curling in a strike at the front post after a deft turn from a corner. Her side held on bravely as Falkirk pushed for an equaliser.

They now face Dryburgh on Sunday, whose own top-six hopes suffered a setback after a 1-1 draw with Stirling University in Dundee, and only a cricket score for them on Mother’s Day would seem them replace their visitors.

Barclays Scottish Women’s League One is set for its final round before the split, with Denny side Dunipace all but claiming sixth place with a 3-2 win in the capital against Edinburgh Caledonia last weekend, putting them three points ahead of Kilwinning Academy in seventh.

For Kilwinning to replace them in the top half, they will need to comfortably beat league leaders Bonnyrigg Rose in Midlothian and hope that Dunipace falter when they host Giffnock Soccer Centre in the earlier kick off.

Bonnyrigg will have their own pressure, after last weekend saw second-placed Armadale Thistle close the gap at the top to a single point with a 2-0 win in Kilwinning, while Bonnyrigg were held to a goalless draw in Inverurie.

Goals from Kelly Ross and Sophie Harrison helped Airdrie to a 3-2 win against Queen of the South in Dumfries and at the bottom of the table, Giffnock widened the gap to six points from the automatic relegation spot with a 4-0 win over current bottom side Dundee West.Giffnock remain in the relegation play-off spot, nine points behind Edinburgh Caledonia.
