Arizona Diamondbacks third basemen Eugenio Suarez is opening the 2025 MLB season as hot as anyone in baseball. The MLB veteran blasted two more home runs in his first two at-bats on Friday night. 

Even though his hot bat didn’t help the Diamondbacks beat the Cubs on Opening Day — they lost 10-6 — Suarez went 1-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored. He left game No. 1 hitting .333 and slugging .500. 

The ball remained easy to hit for Suarez s Arizona looked to tie the series. In the bottom of the second inning, Suarez belted another bomb to left field, which got the D-backs on the board and ahead 2-1.
