The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to salvage a disappointing series against the Colorado Rockies in Thursday’s series finale.

After losing the first and third games of the series, the Dodgers’ lead in the National League West over the San Diego Padres is down to one game.
Left-handed Clayton Kershaw (7-2, 3.01 ERA), who put an end to the team’s losing skid last week, is taking the mound for LA. Right-handed Chase Dollander (2-9, 6.43 ERA) is taking the bump for Colorado.
Shohei Ohtani, who left Wednesday’s game in the eighth inning with a thigh injury, is out for a planned day off that has nothing to do with his injury. Manager Dave Roberts said before the injury arose that he was going to sit Ohtani in Thursday’s series finale after he pitched on Wednesday.

Will Smith is getting a rare DH day for LA, with Dalton Rushing behind the plate. Mookie Betts also returns to the lineup after his Wednesday off-day, while Teoscar Hernandez is out.
