The Los Angeles Dodgers placed right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation Monday, the team announced. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers recalled reliever Noah Davis.

Glasnow left Sunday’s start against the Pittsburgh Pirates after throwing just 17 pitches because of right shoulder discomfort. Manager Dave Roberts previously mentioned Glasnow could make an IL stint, so the move comes as no surprise.
The right-hander also left last Sunday’s start against the Texas Rangers early due to cramps. In the past two seasons, Glasnow has dealt with five different injuries since signing with the Dodgers.
The defending champions now have two of the five starters that began the season in the rotation on the IL in Glasnow and Blake Snell.
Glasnow expressed frustration with the situation, understandably so.
“I’m just obsessed with trying to figure out what’s going on,” he said after Sunday’s early exit. “And it’s been like this for a few years, and I’m trying to find a way to stay healthy, and I’ll try to do whatever,” he said Sunday. “I just don’t really have an answer right now, and I think that’s the most frustrating thing. It’s not a lack of trying. It’s just kind of just getting exhausting at this point. I know it’s probably exhausting for a lot of people, for me especially.. … I feel bad for my teammates. I feel bad for people watching. It’s just … a whole very frustrating situation for me. It’s hard.”
And so, the Dodgers pitching staff continues to endure injury woes in the early days of the 2025 season.
