The Texas Rangers had a bit of a travel delay prior to the start of their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night.
The Rangers beat the Athletics, 9-6, on Sunday to complete a three-game series sweep. They were then supposed to fly to Arizona from Sacramento, California, which is where the A’s have been playing home games this season. Apparently Bruce Bochy’s team experienced a significant delay.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports, the Rangers did not arrive in Phoenix until late Monday morning. They then had to play the Diamondbacks at 8 p.m. EST.
