Samson: The new action game from the makers of Just Cause looks like a mix of Driver, Sleeping Dogs, and Mafia.

Yes, the whole world and his grandmother are currently waiting for GTA 6, but the genre has much more to offer. Games like Driver, Sleeping Dogs, and Mafia also had a major influence on action games with urban open worlds. Former developers from Avalanche Studios (Just Cause, Mad Max) have now set their sights on another title under a new banner that follows in exactly the same vein.

Samson sends you into the wicked streets of Tyndalston, which have already shaped the eponymous protagonist into a real tough guy. Whether in a car or on foot, armed only with your fists: to pay off your debts to your creditors, you’ll have to work hard. As is typical for the genre, you’ll have to deal with both gangs and the police.

The release date for Samson has not yet been announced, but you can already add the action game to your wish list on Steam. So far, only a PC release has been announced.
