Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders was pulled on a key play in Sunday’s home game against the Tennessee Titans. He isn’t throwing a fit about that.
With 1:03 left in the fourth quarter, Sanders tossed a seven-yard touchdown to rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr., cutting Cleveland’s deficit to 31-29. Despite that, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski pulled him on the two-point conversion attempt, running a trick play instead. It didn’t end well for Cleveland.Â
Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins lined up at QB. After forgetting to pitch the ball to rookie wide receiver Gage Larvadain, he chucked a cross-field pass that fell incomplete.Â
Stefanski certainly deserves blame for the baffling play call, but the QB isn’t pointing the finger at his coach.
