WNBA partners with nVenue for microbetting, interactive gaming

Microbetting company nVenue has partnered with the WNBA to provide its predictive analytics for the 2025 season, the startup’s first deal with a women’s sports property after previous work with the NBA, NASCAR and Apple TV for its Friday night MLB games, SBJ’s Joe Lemire reports.

This follows a recent multimillion-dollar funding round from strategic investors FDJ Ventures, The Collectiv, and DigitalWin. Lead investor KB Partners also added participated with a follow-on check.

The WNBA’s vision, according to nVenue co-founder & CEO Kelly Pracht, is to provide innovative and engaging fan experiences, whether it’s through microbets, social gaming or potentially broadcast graphics. And this partnership, years in the making, is a signal about the industry, she added.

Sportradar expands 4Sight augmented sportsbook streams for ATP Tour events

Through its multi-year data partnership with the ATP Tour, Sportradar has expanded the scope of its tennis-focused 4Sight augmented streams to 62 tournaments, SBJ’s Rob Schaefer reports. In 2024, the product’s inaugural year, Sportradar produced the streams only for the ATP’s nine Masters 1000 events, plus the tour’s year-end and Next Gen finals.

Sportradar makes the 4Sight streams, which overlay match metrics and graphics atop play, available to its sportsbook partners as an in-app video player. The goal is to inform bettors of subtle developments within a match they might not otherwise notice and facilitate the creation of new betting markets based on those metrics.

Catapult launches new athlete-monitoring system

Performance tech company Catapult has released a new monitoring system called Vector 8. The product — which will be available in April for football before rolling out to other sports this year — allows for a speed of analysis that previous systems did not.

Past iterations of Catapult tech conveyed some data but required docking of the player wearables to receive the full data sets. Vector 8 will have a direct-to-cloud connection that results in an upload speed that’s 20 times faster than the previous model.
