Angel Reese is one of the most polarizing players who will be present in the inaugural season of Unrivaled League, set to debut next Friday. The WNBA young star has hit the gym to work on her game and the hard work has seemingly paid off.
A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by her Unrivaled team Rose BC’s fan page shows the forward easily knocking 3-point shots.
“Angel Reese on automatic from deep 😮💨🎯🌹,” they captioned the post.
Plenty of fans reacted to this clip, sharing their surprise about Angel Reese’s evolution as a shooter.
“Scary sight 😈😈😈,” one fan wrote.
“Scary hours loading 🤫,” another fan said.
“Ppl forget these women are pros ! Top few hundred in the would,” another fan said.
Others focused on her haters, clapping back at those who doubted she could become a much better shooter.
“The haters are running out of material!” one fan said.
“Year 2 gone be so lit,” another fan said.
Angel Reese attempted 321 of her 419 field goal attempts from less than five feet last season. She shot 44.5% from that spot, but the numbers were worse as she got away from the rim. She made four of 36 field goals from five to nine feet (11.1%), two of six attempts from 10-14 feet (33.3%), 10 of 28 attempts from 15-19 feet (35.7%), four of 22 attempts from 20-24 feet (18.2%), one of five from 25-29 feet (20%) and zero of one from 30-34 feet (0%).
She only attempted 16 3-pointers last season, making three (18.8%). This video might be the start of a major change for Reese. She is already a menace under the rim, especially when it comes to grabbing rebounds, but she made sure to hit the lab to expand her offensive skills.
Angel Reese embraces her Rose BC teammates on social media
Ahead of her second WNBA season, Angel Reese is set to play in the inaugural season of Unrivaled. He’s a member of Rose BC alongside Kahleah Cooper, Chelsea Gray, Lexie Hull, Azura Stevens and Brittney Sykes.
In recent days, the Chicago Sky star was spotted in several videos hanging out and messing with her teammates. She hyped up Hull while the latter posed for pictures.
More than that, she called Kahleah Copper her grandma and was seen working on her game with Chelsea Gray, one of the best point guards in the game.
