Numerous teams in the National Football League have started making initial roster cuts to reach their 53-man rosters, but the Seattle Seahawks have kept their decisions under wraps.
The Seahawks had to release former Louisiana Tech cornerback Willie Roberts to make room for outside linebacker Trevis Gipson, who was acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
This marks the fourth time Roberts has been involved in a roster transaction this month. Despite being brought back after previous releases, Roberts was let go once again as the Seahawks made room for other players on the roster.
The Seahawks still need to cut 38 players from their active roster, with one extra player from the International Pathway Program. Outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and cornerback Artie Burns are also being monitored for potential moves to injured reserve due to injuries.
