Sean Strickland is eagerly anticipating his upcoming battle with UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis inside the octagon.
The South African fighter recently defended his title in a hard-fought match at UFC 305, where he emerged victorious and became the first person to submit Israel Adesanya.
Although there are numerous potential opponents for Du Plessis, it appears likely that his next fight will be against Sean Strickland, who is motivated to seek vengeance for his previous loss to the champion.
Following UFC 305, Strickland took to social media to call for a rematch with Du Plessis, declaring, “Time for war, Dutch man.”

Sean Strickland’s last octagon appearance was a decision win over Paulo Costa, after which he expressed confidence in his readiness for a title shot and his willingness to wait for the opportunity.
Despite Alex Pereira also vying for a chance at the title, UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that Strickland would face the winner of the Adesanya-Du Plessis fight for the championship.
