Former Serbian tennis player Jovana Jovic, also known as Jaksic, and her husband Vujadin Jovic celebrated the birth of their first child in October. The 31-year-old ex-WTA player shared the happy news on Instagram, announcing the arrival of their baby boy named Marko.
Jovana took to Instagram 15 days after giving birth on October 5, 2024, to express her love in the caption:
He’s perfect, and we are so in love with him!
She posted a heartwarming photo of her baby’s small foot, mentioning her husband and the location as Sacramento, California.
Jovana and Vujadin have been together for years, dating for three years before getting married in 2019. Despite the age gap of 23 years, their relationship is strong, with Vujadin becoming a grandfather in June 2023. He happily welcomed his first grandchild, Malina Grace Jovic, on Instagram, saying, “Newest addition to the Jovic family. Blessed to welcome my first grandchild—healthy and mild-mannered as can be.” Jovana hinted at their baby plans in April 2024, confirming their pregnancy news.
Jovana’s tennis career peaked in 2014 when she reached the Monterrey final against Ana Ivanovic. She achieved her highest ranking of No. 102 in May 2014. Her professional tennis journey ended in March 2021, with her retirement announcement in March 2022.
