Magomedov, who made his UFC debut in October 2023, has a perfect record in the octagon with three wins, earning bonuses in his last two fights. Petrosyan, on the other hand, is coming off a submission loss to Rodolfo Vieira in February, ending a two-fight winning streak.
UFC 308 is set to take place on Oct. 26 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event will be headlined by a featherweight title match between champion Ilia Topuria and former titleholder Max Holloway.
Former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will also be in action, facing off against undefeated Khamzat Chimaev in the co-main event. This matchup was initially scheduled for UFC on ABC 6 in June, where Whittaker emerged victorious against Ikram Aliskerov due to Chimaev’s illness.
Additionally, the fight promotion announced two more bouts added to the UFC 308 card on Monday. Lightweights Mateusz Rębecki and Myktybek Orolbai will fight on the preliminary card, while a light heavyweight bout between Ibo Aslan and Raffael Cerqueira was also confirmed.
