Just a few days ago, Djokovic was spotted relaxing on a yacht with his wife, Jelena, and their two kids, Stefan and Tara. The family seemed to be enjoying the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea, with Novak skillfully navigating the yacht while the kids played under Jelena’s watchful eye. Montenegro is a beloved summer destination for Djokovic, where he often spends his vacations exploring its stunning coastline and charming towns.
Sharapova also has a history with Montenegro. In 2015, the former world No. 1 enjoyed a memorable vacation in this Balkan paradise, showcasing her stunning bikini body on King’s Beach in Sveti Stefan.
Kotor, a historic town on Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and breathtaking natural surroundings. The friendship between Sharapova and Djokovic dates back to their first meeting at a mixed doubles exhibition match in La Quinta, California. In an Instagram live session four years ago, Sharapova shared a funny story about their dinner date from that time:
“You said if you won, I had to pay for dinner. I thought, ‘Who is this kid.’ And you won, and you said, ‘We’re going to dinner tonight, Japanese place.’ I was like, ‘Are you serious? Dinner with you tonight.’ So we did, we went to dinner. You brought out an old Kodak camera and had the waiter take a photo. And here we are now, you were like a fan that day (laughs).”
