The Las Vegas Aces have been eliminated from the 2024 season after losing to the New York Liberty in the WNBA Semifinals earlier this week.
This means that top-tier celebrities won’t be seen courtside at the Aces’ Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas for the rest of the season.
Among the celebrities attending Aces games this year was Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, who was present at the Aces’ final game against the Liberty.
After the game, Sanders and Wilson were seen embracing and exchanging words.
Sanders later discussed the experience on his ‘2Legednary’ podcast, praising his conversation with Aces player A’ja Wilson.
Sanders also hinted at discussing the future with Wilson, explaining why he was seated courtside next to Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis.
Reflecting on the speed of the gameplay, Sanders expressed his desire to play against A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum 1v1.
Sanders noted the competitive nature of the WNBA players and how it left an impact on him after leaving basketball.
It’s possible the Aces could have benefitted from Sanders’ assistance in their game against the Liberty.
