CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini alum Brynn Shoup-Hill has signed a professional contract with Italy’s Polisportiva Battipagliese club to continue her basketball career. The 6’3″ forward played her final three seasons of collegiate competition at Illinois following her rookie year at Dayton.
Shoup-Hill will graduate from Illinois’ Gies College of Business in August 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in history of art. The Goshen, Indiana, native collected 2024-25 Winter Academic All-Big Ten honors for her work in the classroom.
During her three seasons with the Orange and Blue, Shoup-Hill played in 88 games while starting 72. She registered 420 points, 394 rebounds, 74 assists, 69 blocks, and 40 steals as an Illini.
Including her season at Dayton, Shoup-Hill played in 111 collegiate games while recording 462 points, 424 rebounds, 81 assists, 75 blocks, and 41 steals. She shot 41.1% from the field on 153-for-373 shooting. Shoup-Hill connected from 3-point range at a 33.8% rate throughout her career and was a 79.3% free-throw shooter (88-for-111).
As a freshman at Dayton, Shoup-Hill helped the Flyers to the Atlantic 10 regular-season championship and an NCAA Tournament berth.
Shoup-Hill guided the Fighting Illini to the program’s first-ever postseason championship with the 2024 WBIT title and two NCAA Tournament appearances (2023, 2025), including a Second Round appearance.
She marks the second player under head coach Shauna Green at Illinois to play professional basketball.
