Job Description:Siena College, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking applications for a Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. This is a full-time position with benefits and will be responsible for the daily management and administration of all phases of the Division I tennis program in accordance with all NCAA, MAAC, and College regulations.
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to planning and conducting practice; evaluation and recruitment of qualified student athletes; individual player’s skill development and team performance development; monitoring academic progress; coordinating services to the team with other department support areas; scheduling games and management of the program’s budget. The head coach will work cooperatively and closely with an assistant tennis coach, student services such as sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and academic advising. Knowledge and adherence to NCAA, MAAC, and College rules and regulations is required.
Annual Salary: $58,500.00*The hiring salary above represents the College’s good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.
Job Requirements:Qualifications include a minimum bachelor’s degree required. Excellent knowledge of the techniques of the sport and excellent communication skills desired. College coaching and/or playing experience preferred. Candidates must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment.
