The New York Giants wrapped up their fourth training camp practice on Sunday morning with a mixed bag of results.
Quarterback Daniel Jones seemed to struggle with deep passes at the start, missing wide receiver Malik Nabers a couple of times despite the rookie getting open behind the defense. However, Jones was more on target with short and mid-range throws, although that may not be the news Giants fans were hoping for. Jones did finish practice strong, though.
Nose tackle Dexter Lawrence’s strong push up the middle disrupted Jones’ throwing motion, contributing to the quarterback’s struggles.
On a positive note, rookie tight end Theo Johnson made a big impact on the first play of the day after returning to practice. Right tackle Evan Neal, listed as “day-to-day,” was seen working on the sidelines.
