The Chicago Sky were soundly beaten by Phoenix on Saturday, and our WNBA betting picks expect the Atlanta Dream to add to their misery today.

Two teams trending in opposite directions clash Sunday when the Chicago Sky visit the Atlanta Dream.

Chicago has lost five of its last six, dropping four of those by at least 18 points, while the Dream have just two losses in their last 10 — a big reason why Atlanta is a hefty 15.5-point favorite in the WNBA odds.

Our Sky vs. Dream predictions and WNBA picks have Atlanta continuing its recent dominance over the Sky.

Sky vs Dream predictions

My Sky vs Dream best bet: Dream -16.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

The Atlanta Dream are off to a great start on the season, sitting fourth at 9-4 overall, a win away from joining Minnesota, New York, and Phoenix in the double-digit win club.

Atlanta is coming off a close 92-91 win at home over the Mystics, improving to 5-1 in their own building.

They’ll get their second look at the Chicago Sky, a team they trampled 88-70 on June 13. What was a one-point game at halftime turned when Atlanta went on to outscore the Sky 50-31 in the second half.

Chicago is coming off a thorough 107-86 thumping at the hands of Phoenix.

While they’ve yet to play Minnesota, the Sky are a combined 0-5 against the rest of the WNBA Top 4, losing to New York twice and Phoenix twice along with the one loss to the Dream. Just one of those games had a closer point differential than 18.

One of the Sky’s biggest problems is their inability to protect the ball. Their 18.9 turnovers per game ranks dead-last in the WNBA.

Opponents are converting turnovers in 21.4 points per game. Conversely, Atlanta is first in fewest points off turnovers, surrendering just 12.7 per contest.

Atlanta has won seven of the last 10 head-to-head meetings and have also gone 7-3 against the spread.

I never usually mess with large spreads like these, but Chicago hasn’t shown the ability to hang with the league’s heavy hitters, and that likely won’t change Sunday.

Sky vs Dream same-game parlay (SGP)

Dream -16.5

Rhyne Howard Under 17.5 points

Angel Reese Over 10.5 rebounds

Rhyne Howard had her best scoring game this season against the Sky, lighting them up for 36 points on 12-for-15 shooting, including an amazing nine 3-point makes.

But other than that performance, it’s been a little quiet in June for the 25-year-old.

Howard’s scoring line is set at 17.5 points, and she’s cashed the Under in three straight starts and in four of her last six games.

We’re adding Angel Reese just to bring more attention to the fact that rebounding her own misses are now called “mebounds.”

All jokes aside, Reese does do a good job on the glass, leading the W at 11.7 rebounds per game. She and A’ja Wiison are the only two players averaging 10+ rebounds per.

She’s gone for double-digit rebounds in four of her last six starts in June.
