Reggie Miller was effusive in his praise for Caitlin Clark on Sunday night “Basketball Night in America” during a pregame conversation on NBC.
The Indiana Pacers legend said he would relinquish his unofficial “best shooter in Indiana” title to the Indiana Fever star and Tyrese Haliburton of the Pacers.
Miller then offered an NBA player comp for Clark that caught a lot of people off guard: Payton Pritchard of the Boston Celtics. Both are prolific outside shooters and strong ball handlers, but Clark is a focal point for the WNBA, while Pritchard is a complementary player.

“I personally love Reggie. … I don’t think he meant any harm by it, but I do think, like, probably not the best comparison for the generational player that Caitlin is,” Cunningham said on her “Show Me Something” podcast. “I don’t think she took it personal.”
Maybe it caught Clark by surprise, too.
