South Africa had a successful start to their 2023 FAST5 World Netball Series campaign, with a great win over England followed by a loss to Australia and another win against Jamaica at the Woolfbrook Arena in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Saturday, 9 November, 2023.
England and South Africa had a close start but England took control in the second and third quarters. In the final quarter, South Africa turned things around and secured the win. Lefébre Rademan stood out with her flawless shooting performance.
In their match against Australia, South Africa struggled to keep up, losing decisively in the first and third quarters. Despite a better performance in the second quarter, they ultimately lost the match 49-26.
The final game of the day was against Jamaica, with South Africa securing a 33-25 win. After a slow start in the first quarter, they picked up the pace and dominated in the following quarters to secure the victory.
On Sunday, South Africa will face Uganda and New Zealand in their upcoming games.
