If you have been part of the Yellow Jersey community for a while, you will probably recognise this pattern. The way we travel shifts over time. One season it is long summer miles and weekend sportives. The next it is ski trips, climbing breaks, or trying something new that fits an active, outdoor lifestyle.

That is exactly what has happened for us too. As a team, we still ride, but we’ve picked up all sorts of new disciplines along the way. Some of us are lining up for Hyrox events, others are heading abroad to surf, climb mountains, or play rugby. Different sports, same mindset: stay active, explore more, and try something different.

And that shift got us thinking.

Years ago, we built a better travel insurance specifically for cycling, MTB and triathlon because standard travel policies often did not fit the reality of cycling trips. It is designed for active travellers who want clarity about what they are covered for, and who would rather not rely on vague wording when they are planning a trip around sport.

-Cover for over 500 sports and activities, including competition and training, with clear conditions and restrictions if they apply.

-Your chosen sports are clearly named in your policy documents, so there is no ambiguity about what you selected.

-£500 of equipment cover is included as standard, and you can boost the cover if you need to.

-Tailor the policy to suit the way you travel, whether that is a short break, a longer trip, or something a bit more involved.

-Set your own cover limit for cancellation and cutting your trip short so don’t pay for more insurance than you need to.

-Optional extras including hire car excess cover, and removing the excesses on our travel insurance.
