ONIC PH Are The Champions of The SPS Mobile Masters 2025
ONIC Philippines were on hot form since the beginning of the tournament. They went flawless during the group stage, winning all five matches they participated in.
Following this, they faced off against their rivals from the MPL Philippines, Team Falcons PH. They defeated them in a dominant 3-1 scoreline during the semi-finals.
Over at the other end of the bracket, Indonesian powerhouses Team Liquid and RRQ Hoshi faced off for the remaining spot in the grand final. A victory by Team Liquid would have set up a rematch with ONIC PH, reminiscent of the M6 grand finals. However, this wasn’t meant to be as RRQ Hoshi won against Team Liquid ID in the second semifinal 3-1.
In the grand finals, ONIC Philippines dominated the series, winning with a score of 4-1. They took home a prize of $80,000 for winning the event. As they were also the winners of the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC—Challenge Finals as well, they secured a prize of $65,000.
According to Esports Charts, the grand finals of this tournament had a peak viewership of 2.7 million viewers.
ONIC Philippines Is the Team To Watch Out for in 2025
With this win, ONIC Philippines has secured another trophy in its cabinet. Back in 2024, they won the MPL Philippines Season 14. They then proved to the world that they were the best by winning the M6 World Championship. They continued this run of form by winning the MLBB World Championship Challenge in China. As stated earlier, they also won the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC—Challenge Finals this year.
But things look different in the MPL Philippines Season 15. Currently, they sit in third place with one game in hand. If they wish to qualify for the upcoming MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2025 in Riyadh, they must finish in the top two spots in the MPL this year.
