HEBRON, Ohio — Round three of the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series takes place this week (Sept. 3-6) at Darana Raceway – Hebron, Ohio and an impressive entry list for the professional classes is taking shape.
The four-day event will also feature a Pro Am Doubleheader event with sportsman action on Wednesday and Thursday before the professionals get in the act on Friday with eliminations on Saturday.
Scott Palmer, who won the series opener at Darana Raceway in June, leads the Top Fuel entry list as an eight-car field will battle for a handsome $50,000-to-win prize. Lex Joon, who won the second race of the season is also entered.
Other Top Fuel drivers expected to compete include Doug Foley, Krista Baldwin, Gary Pritchett, Mitch King, Chuck Loftin, Cameron Ferré, Todd Paton,Greg Carillo, Larry Dixon, Shawn Reed and Jasmine Salinas.
An eight-car Funny Car field will also race for $50,000-to-win with the field led by Del Worsham and Mike McIntire who won the two IHRA Funny Car races earlier this summer.
Also expected to compete in the class are Dale Creasy Jr., Jack Wyatt, Dan Hix, Jody Austin, Tod Barker, Terry Haddock, McKailen Haddock, Eric Stevens,Dave Gallegos and Jim Campbell.
A 32-car Pro Mod field will compete for $50,000-to-win, while Outlaw Pro Mod, Pro Nitrous, Mountain Motor Pro Stock, Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car and Top Fuel Harley will also be on the card.
All four days will be aired live on SPEED SPORT 2, with Top Fuel qualifying and eliminations broadcast live on SPEED SPORT 1.
