Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr isn’t losing sleep over a private email from owner Joe Lacob that recently surfaced online, even as frustration continues to build around the team’s uneven start to the season.

The email exchange began after a Warriors fan, identified by SFGate as 27-year-old Justin Dutari, reached out to Lacob following Golden State’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

In his message, Dutari questioned whether Stephen Curry needed to score 50 points every night for the Warriors to win and suggested that Jimmy Butler was being used out of position.

Lacob responded quickly and candidly, offering insight into the internal tension surrounding the team’s struggles.

“You can’t be as frustrated as me,” Lacob wrote. “I am working on it. It’s complicated. Style of play. Coaches desires regarding players. League trends. Jimmy [Butler] is not the problem.”

When asked about the leaked email, Kerr downplayed the situation entirely, focusing instead on the broader issue of privacy.

“I hate when people are gonna post private emails,” Kerr said via ESPN’s Anthony Slater. “Imagine if everyone’s emails were just posted publicly, how tough that would be to live our lives.

“Joe supports me 100 percent, I support him. We have a great connection, and we’ve had so much continuity here and our stable environment in our organization is one of our strengths.”

Kerr acknowledged that frustration is widespread throughout the organization.

“We’re all frustrated,” Kerr said. “Joe is frustrated, I’m frustrated, Steph and Dray, everybody’s frustrated. And this is kind of how the league works.”
