Fixtures have been released for the 2024/25 Scottish Women’s Championship and League One, with newly promoted Stenhousemuir and Falkirk set to kick off Scotland’s third tier.
The upcoming Championship season promises to be highly competitive, with Stenny hosting local rivals Falkirk on Sunday, August 11th. This fixture has attracted good crowds and excitement in the past two seasons in League One.
This season will mark the third year of the two leagues as national leagues, with the Championship expanding to 12 teams. League One champions Stenhousemuir, Falkirk, and Forfar Farmington, along with Stirling University and Glasgow Women from SWPL2, will join the revamped Championship.
League One will be strengthened by Armadale Thistle, Dunipace, Inverurie Locos, and Kilwinning, all promoted from the regional leagues. Dunipace, the SWFL West champions, will face SWFL North winners Inverurie Locos on the opening day.
In previous seasons, Livingston, Rossvale, and Ayr United secured promotions to SWPL2. Stenhousemuir clinched the League One trophy last season after a tense title race that went down to the wire.
