Bronny James has turned things around after a poor start to NBA Summer League.
After averaging just 4.3 points per game on 23 percent shooting over his first four games (including the California Classic), James has averaged 12.5 points per game on 48 percent shooting over his past two games.
He had his best game yet on Thursday, finishing with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks on 5-of-10 field goal shooting in a 93-89 win over Cleveland.
Interestingly, James’ turnaround started the game after Celtics star Jaylen Brown could be seen saying, “I don’t think Bronny is a pro.”
His much-improved performance on Thursday prompted Thunder big man Chet Holmgren to comment “Looked like a pro” in response to a Hoop Central post featuring Bronny’s postgame stats.

Another big name to comment on Bronny recently is Kevin Hart. Even before Bronny’s latest performance, Hart leapt to his defence, specifically regarding accusations of nepotism.
“When the conversation of nepotism and this and that, it’s ignorance attached to that conversation,” Hart told Taylor Rooks. “My daughter is in love with the idea of creativity and producing and development. It’s my job as her father to not only give her the right information but put her in the best positions to succeed. But it’s your job as my child to do the work. Why would [LeBron] not want his child to succeed?” Hart said.
LeBron has certainly always been Bronny’s biggest fan, and King James was hyped for his son after Thursday’s game.
