Treyarch is now letting you into the endgame without having to play through the campaign.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has only been out for a few days and is already shifting into reverse gear. From now on, you can simply skip an important part of the experience: the story campaign.
The reason for this is probably the scathing verdict of the players on the campaign. In our review, the story mode didn’t fare particularly well either. To prevent you from throwing in the towel right away, Treyarch has now decided to give you direct access to the endgame.

According to the developers, the response to the new Endgame has been so good that they are making it directly accessible to all players – without having to go through the arduous detour of the campaign first.

Endgame was originally intended as an open continuation of the story missions. This meant you had to battle your way through eleven story missions before you could enter the Avalon multiplayer map.That’s no longer necessary.If you’re one of the patient players who already completed the campaign before today, there’s a little bonus for your efforts. You’ll receive:

What’s wrong with the campaign?
Although Treyarch doesn’t say so directly, it’s reasonable to assume that feedback regarding the endgame wasn’t the only factor behind this decision.
Our testers Kevin and Daniel had quite a few complaints about the Black Ops 7 campaign. They said the story was nonsensical and hardly exciting, the characters were flat, and the gameplay was often a simple copy of the zombie mode.
The community feels much the same way, criticizing, for example, the lack of save points within the missions and the inability to pause. If you’re playing solo, you don’t get any AI companions to help you, which makes the journey much more difficult.& nbsp;On Steam, Black Ops 7 currently has a positive rating of just 39 percent. It remains to be seen whether this figure will improve. Perhaps letting players dive straight into Endgame will actually help. Here, an Extraction mode awaits you, in which you complete procedurally generated missions with up to 31 other players, collect loot, and try to get out alive to level up your character.
